BATs – On the Move!

Dear BATs and BAT Supporters – We continue to dig in and fight a DeVos USDOE.  BATs launched a petition to the National School Boards Association, School Superintendents Association, and National PTA asking them to not invite DeVos into our schools.  Our rationale is that DeVos has spent over two decades on a mission to dismantle public education, attacking our LGBTQ youth and their families, and this week insulting teachers at a DC school.  We do not agree that we need a seat at the table if we are going to be the meal.  Please join us in asking the NSBA, SSA, and National PTA to NOT invite her into our schools.  We will deliver our petition to these organizations on March 20th https://actionnetwork.org/petitions/keep-devos-away-from-our-public-schools?source=direct_link&referrer=badass-teachers-association BATs will be heading to Seattle this summer for our 4th Annual Conference.  We will be rolling out information next month but SAVE THE DATE!  We cannot think of a better time, or place, for educators, parents, and communities to join together and network for the upcoming battles we will face.
