#tdih 1911, Alabama Banner Mine explosion killed 128 men, almost all African Americans, arrested for petty “crimes” and forced to work under convict leasing. They were effectively sentenced to enslavement and death. #SlaverybyAnotherName #teachoutsidetextbook
