John C. Stewart was a member of the Michigan House of Representatives from 2001 through 2006 representing a portion of Wayne County. He was Chairman of Higher Ed, Appropriations committees and gave Commencement Addresses at 3 major universities. During 6 years as State Representative, he earned a 100% Pro Public Education voting record. In 2002 he was named Legislator of the Year by the Small Business Association of Michigan. John is running for State Board of Education as a Democrat. Stewart is a private practice attorney in Plymouth.
