Fight? Or flight? Brain surgeon says he’d have rushed Oregon shooter

It seems clear from all accounts that the fellow with the gun shot people who opened their mouth for any reason other than to answer his questions.

And what’s more he was willing to shoot that ex-military member 7 times as he was approaching him. And it took all 7 shots to knock him down. I saw the photos he was young, strong and in top physical condition. Ben Carson is 64. He’d have gone down after the first shot.

The entire event in the classroom room literally took moments – okay, minutes – the 911 response was 6 minutes I believe. The average person simply does not think rationally during an adrenaline-rush. And believe me those college students and their instructor were full of adrenaline with no place for it to go – fear balances out that rush.

Fight? Or flight?

64 year old Ben Carson, poor eye-sight and all says he’d have rushed the shooter.

Chris Mintz is 30 – in great physical condition – a trained military veteran with skills and knowledge of such circumstances.

Ben Carson is not.
